A new hotspot in Amsterdam: hotel The Exchange with rooms dressed like models.

Hotel The Exchange is an initiative by LLoyd Hotel and the cultural embassy Amsterdam. It is a hotel with a special love of fashion. Students of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute dressed the rooms like models on the catwalk. As a visitor you sleep in fashion and wake up in style...The result is a hotel where architecture meets fashion.

The hotel is located in three buildings. In the same building there is a 230 m2 contemporary department store Options! and a restaurant Stock.

Staffan Holm furniture

Staffan Holm is a Swedish designer with a studio in Gothenburg. He is fascinated about the poetry of crafts as well as of the wonders of new technology. For him, really great designs have never been all about the practical functions, but more about the emotional ones, more about commitment and attachment.

His new Milano 2011 collections is full of beautiful designs. The materials, shapes and details...everything is beautiful and aesthetic.

See more of his work here.

A nice thing to do for Christmas to add something very nice to your wall. And even better you can leave it there when Christmas is over because it is just as beautiful throughout the whole year.

Loving that bit of graphic feel of this deer head. Check out the tutorial here and let me know how it worked out.

Alemanys 5

Located in the heart of Girona's mediaval quarter is this property Alemanys 5, whose original building dates form the 16th century.

Architect Anna Noguera has converted this house into two contemporary holiday apartments. The house integrates old and new, where sober and clean lines look for the enjoyment of essential elements such as space, light, shadow, fire, stone, water or silence.

Love the use of all the natural and raw materials like concrete, stone and the Corten steel walls. Minimal but yet so warm....What a stunning place to stay for a little while!
